Shravan Maas 2014

Shravan maas is a extremely favourable month full of with many rituls, festivals and also the first month of Chatur Maas – the four holiest months in Hindu Calendar. Shravan is considered the most sanctified month of the year. Shravan Mahina [Month] is the most sacred and fifth month in customary Hindu calendar followed in Gujarat , Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.  

Sawan or Shravan Maas is followed during 27th  to July to 24th  August in the year 2014.  



This is highly auspicious month and hold back Hindus from eating meat products, and intake of  Alcohal. This is the month to perform different types of Pujas and Rituals. Especaily Mondays is dedicated to God Shiva and to worship more in more God Shiva.

Sankashti Chaturthi the monthly fasting dedicated to Lord Ganesh in  Shravan Month is on 13 August, Wednesday – Chandrodaya is at 8:42 PM – Indian Standard Time.

       From 27 July 2014, 10 August 2014.

Shravan Maas 2014 Krishna Paksha  is from 11 August 2014 to 24 August 2014.

Purnima in Marathi Shravan Maas  

Shravan Purnima or Full moon day is on 10 August 2014 Sunday. The Purnima begins at 3.36 AM on August 10 and ends at 11.39 Night on 10 August. Raksha Bandhan and Narial Purnima are observed on 10 August.

Amavasya in Marathi Shravan Maas

Shravan Amavasya or No moon day is on 25 August 2014 Monday. The Amavasya begins at 5.14 pm on Sunday 24 August, and ends at 7.42 PM on August 25 evening. Festival of Bulls [Pola] is celebarated  on 25 August Monday. Pithori Amavasya is on 25 August 2014.
